Microstat 40 Zinc Monoglycerolate

Microstat™ 40 is used as a curing or accelerating additive during the vulcanization of natural and synthetic rubbers. Microstat 40™ can be used as a partial or full replacement for zinc oxide during masterbatching to improve:
  • Rate of cure = increased production output
  • Plasticity = reduced wastage/ reprocessing
  • Tensile strength = stronger rubber
  • Elastic modulus = more resistant to breakage (can be stretched under load and will revert to the original dimensions after removal of the load)

Typical applications include:

  • Mining (mill liners and vibrating separator screens) – Improve wear resistance and flexibility
  • Automotive components (suspension bushes, tyres and belts) – Improve wear resistance
  • Defense (tank bushes and boot soles) – improve wear resistance
  • Carpet Underlay – reduce memory from foot traffic

  • Rail (broom elements for track sweeping) – Improved wear resistance
  • Building & Construction – Improved UV resistance
  • Rubber Hosing – Improved flexibility

Other potential product features include reduced heat build-up, modified friction coefficient, increased resistance to oil/petrol, increased protection to UV degradation.
